Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok
– Gateway to the Himalayas
- Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Station. Drive through winding roads and verdant hills to reach Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim (approx. 4.5 hrs).
- Check into your hotel and unwind. Stroll down MG Road in the evening, visit a cozy local café, or simply relax with a view of the hills.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok
Day 2: Gangtok to Lachen
– Journey into the Wild North
- After an early breakfast, begin your drive to Lachen (approx. 6 hrs) through deep gorges and scenic villages.
- On the way, stop at:
- Seven Sisters Waterfall – a cascading beauty
- Tashi View Point – for panoramic mountain views
- Singhik – a hidden hamlet with distant views of Kanchenjunga
- Arrive in the quaint village of Lachen by evening. Enjoy a warm dinner and prepare for your high-altitude adventure.

Day 3: Gurudongmar Lake Excursion & Transfer to Lachung
- Start early to visit the sacred Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft), one of the highest lakes in the world.
- Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, the lake’s still waters reflect a surreal peace. (Note: Visit is subject to weather and health clearance.)
- Return to Lachen for brunch and then drive to Lachung (approx. 3 hrs), another gem nestled in the mountains.

Day 4: Yumthang Valley
– Sikkim’s Valley of Flowers
